It appears that love won't keep them together, after all.
Former Joy Division/New Order bassist Peter Hook made it very clear that he will not stand with his ex-bandmates at their upcoming Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction.
The "Love Will Keep Us Together" hitmaker revealed that he has not spoken to any of his former bandmates in years, including Gillian Gilbert, Stephen Morris and Bernard Sumner.
"No, not after what they did to me and my family, no," Hook, 70, told Rolling Stone on Tuesday (April 21) during an interview when asked whether he'd reunite with them onstage at the ceremony. "I won't stand with them. I'm not bothered. You've got to have morals."
In the 1980s, Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis died, with the surviving members going on to form New Order. Hook left the British rock band in 2007, believing that they were breaking up. However, when New Order reunited in 2011 without him, a legal battle over royalties ensued, per the outlet.
Though the disputes were settled in 2017, Hook has continued to speak out against the "Blue Monday" rockers.
"It's hilarious because fans would come to me complaining about the current lineup," Hook continued during the interview. "I go, 'Why do you think? I'm here and they're there. Just don't go! Don't give them your money.' It's a very strange predicament to be in."
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction is scheduled for November 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Disney+ and ABC will air the ceremony in December.
