Joni Lamb's daughter-in-law Suzy Lamb posted a tribute in honor of the Daystar founder.

On Monday, Suzy shared a carousel of pictures of Joni and her family on Instagram, writing about coming to terms with her mother-in-law's death. Days earlier, Suzy claimed that her family wasn't informed of Joni's death.

Joni, who founded Daystar Television with her first husband Marcus Lamb, died on May 7 at 65 following a back injury that "compounded" health issues she was already facing. Suzy is married to Joni's son, Jonathan.

"I’m angry because of what the enemy stole. But one thing will remain, I loved her with my whole heart. Even when we had to do the hardest thing and share the painful truth- we loved her," began Suzy. "We had to part ways because of different choices, which we will both stand before Jesus answer for. But this I know.. I loved her so."

"Everyday we chose forgiveness so I was sure that at some point a miracle would happen & I would dream of us on a beach again someday drinking coffee, talking about Jesus and her hug was warm again. I’m angry because that didn’t happen here on earth, but I have to release it & keep trusting God," Suzy continued.

The podcaster said that though she knows she shouldn't publicize what was going on between her and Joni, Suzy acknowledged their story's public nature.

"I know people say, keep all this to yourself don’t make it public- but our story has been very public, public figures we are and I hate when people only share their victories online while hiding the hard parts. I don’t think that helps anyone."

"Life has its mountain tops & valleys for everyone and I’m sharing my heart to honor the memory of the woman I loved so much for so many years. I just look forward to eternity," added Suzy.

She concluded: "I don’t say this lightly- THANK YOU for praying for our family, the pain is real, I deleted all the bad memories and cherish the good ones. So truly, thank you. God bless you for your heart for us."

Suzy previously claimed that she and her family "weren’t informed of anything" regarding Joni's death.

"We were down the road, but weren’t given a call to say goodbye. We forgive them. Thank you for praying for Jonathan," she wrote on social media responding to a post.

"They knew she was dying yesterday evening and they didn’t call Jonathan to come say goodbye," she added, not identifying who failed to notify her family.

Suzy appeared to allude to estrangement between her and Joni. In 2024, Suzy and Jonathan accused a member of the Lamb family, identified as "Pete," of allegedly abusing one of their children. Pete denied the allegations made against him, and there was no evidence of any wrongdoing found.

The Colleyville Police Department in Texas closed the investigation in May 2025 with no further action or charges. Suzy, meanwhile, shared her own post on social media at the time.

"This is not news but let me explain: When a case has no new evidence, the police dept will close it as a formality UNTIL new evidence OR the victim speaks up. Most children don’t speak until they are adults so this process can take years- we already knew all of this. When our child is ready to speak- she will and the case will be wide open again," she wrote.

"Till then we rest and trust God to bring justice. But this is important: 'Pete' was NOT EXONORATED or cleared. The case will reopen the second new evidence comes out," she wrote.

Entertainment Weekly reached out to Suzy Lamb and Daystar Television and did not receive an immediate response.
