TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. – The Temple Terrace Police Department has launched an active investigation following the abduction and sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl on Monday evening.

Authorities say the incident began around 6:00 p.m. on March 2, 2026, at the Doral Oaks Apartment complex. A group of juveniles was approached by an unidentified man driving a grey or silver Nissan Altima. The man offered the group money to buy him food from a nearby Burger King. While most of the group refused, one 13-year-old girl agreed to the request. Security footage later captured her at the Burger King located at 8755 N. 56th Street.

According to police reports, the girl returned to the apartment complex to deliver the food, at which point the man forced her into his vehicle and sped away. Officers arrived shortly after to search the area but were initially unable to locate the victim. At approximately 9:23 p.m., while investigators were still on-site at the apartments, the girl arrived back at her home.

The victim told investigators that the suspect drove her to an undisclosed location where he sexually assaulted her before dropping her off near the apartment complex.

The suspect is described as a slender white male with a blonde or sandy-colored ponytail and a reddish-blonde beard. The victim noted that the man called himself “Brian” or “Ryan” and claimed to be 19 years old. He was seen driving a gray four-door sedan.

Police are currently working to identify the individual. In the meantime, officials are urging parents to talk to their children about the dangers of interacting with strangers and to report any suspicious behavior to the authorities.

Anyone who may have information related to this case or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the Temple Terrace Police Department at (813) 989-7110.
