Over 12,000 companies changed address in Ukraine last year

In 2025, 12,197 companies changed their legal address 12,920 times. Such migrations increased 11% over the year, fewer than before the full-scale invasion.

The most active movers are wholesale trade companies — almost every third in the list: 3,798 businesses. Second place goes to construction companies (732 companies or 6%). The top five also includes real estate businesses (645 companies or 5%), agriculture (639 or 5%), and retail trade (526 or 4%).

The largest number of companies moved from Kyiv to Kyiv Oblast — 779. In the opposite direction, from the region to the capital, 663 companies.

Other leading routes: from Kyiv to Dnipropetrovsk Oblast (565 companies), from Kyiv to Kharkiv Oblast (521), and from Dnipropetrovsk Oblast to Kyiv (501).

Overall, the most relocations originated from Kyiv — 12,558. This accounts for 30% of all movements in 2025. Next are Dnipropetrovsk Oblast (4,200 or 10%), Odesa Oblast (2,884 or 7%), Kyiv Oblast (2,755 or 7%), and Kharkiv Oblast (2,336 or 6%).

Among destinations, Kyiv leads again — 11,765 companies or 28.3% of all relocations chose the capital. Dnipropetrovsk Oblast welcomed 4,048 companies (10%), Kharkiv Oblast 2,889 (7%), Odesa Oblast 2,880 (6.9%), and Kyiv Oblast 2,729 (6.6%).

Despite the high number of relocations, the number of companies increased only in eight regions. The largest gains were in frontline Kharkiv Oblast (+553) and Zaporizhzhya Oblast (+419 businesses). Growth was also recorded in Lviv Oblast (+213), Sumy Oblast (+177), Zakarpattya Oblast (+105), Kherson Oblast (+95), Zhytomyr Oblast (+53), and Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast (+48).

At the same time, companies decreased in 19 regions. The largest outflow occurred in Kyiv: minus 793 companies. Significant losses were also seen in Donetsk Oblast (-155), Dnipropetrovsk Oblast (-152), Volyn Oblast (-101), and Luhansk Oblast (-85).
