Full WWE releases list includes Aleister Black, Zelina Vega, and Wyatt Sicks

A full WWE releases list shows talents the company parted ways with, including The Wyatt Sicks, Zelina Vega, and Aleister Black.

The WWE shook up their roster of superstars on Friday, releasing a slew of talent that may or may not have surprised fans everywhere.

The major WWE releases today started with news arriving that the entire Wyatt Sicks stable was no longer with the company. That included Bo Dallas, aka “Uncle Howdy,” along with Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis, and Nikki Cross.

Wyatt Sicks was a gimmick stable that arrived months after the death of wrestling star Bray Wyatt, real name Windham Rotunda, who was Bo Dallas’ real-life brother. The Wyatt Sicks members Lumis and Gacy held the WWE Tag Team Championship for 196 days, losing it earlier this year on SmackDown to Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga.

It didn’t end there, with the shocking releases of Aleister Black and his wife, Zelina Vega. Black had previously worked in WWE but also worked as Malachi Black in All Elite Wrestling (AEW). He returned to WWE last April after working with AEW for over four years.

Vega, real name Thea Trinidad Büdgen, worked for WWE from 2017 to 2020 as Andrade’s manager, had a Queen Zelina run from 2021 to 2022, and worked with the Legado Del Fantasma and Latino World Order (LWO) for four years before beginning to accompany Black to the ring.

Along with Wyatt Sicks, Black, and Vega, Fightful.com’s Sean Ross Sapp reported other notable WWE releases today, including Alba Fyre, Zoey Stark, Kairi Sane, and Santos Escobar. Of those individuals, Fyre was featured in numerous TV segments as part of Chelsea Green’s Secret Service, a security guard who accompanied Green to the ring.

Sane was also a major release, as she’d been working as Asuka’s tag team partner for The Kabuki Warriors and had a feud going opposite Iyo Sky. Sane and Asuka recently revealed they were on standby for WrestleMania 42 in case Paige couldn’t replace an injured Nikki Bella as Brie Bella’s tag team partner in a Fatal Four-Way match.

In addition, tag team Motor City Machine Guns and Andre Chase, the leader of NXT’s Chase U group, were among the individuals with whom WWE parted ways.

The releases arrived on Friday, just ahead of WWE SmackDown airing. The talent cuts also occurred under a week after WWE’s WrestleMania 42, which featured none of the aforementioned superstars on the two-night match card.

It’s always disappointing for fans to see major stars released from the company, although it happens annually. Most likely, some, if not all, of the stars will find new work, whether it’s with AEW or TNA, which still works in conjunction with WWE for various events.
