For someone who supposedly loves dictators and is said to be one himself, Donald Trump is eliminating a lot of them.
President Trump is doing the world a huge favor. He is removing some of the worst actors on the planet. He is getting to the root causes of problems that have plagued us for decades and is taking big strides toward solving them.
Gaza. Iran. Venezuela. The border. The economy. Energy. Crime. National defense. Fentanyl. Tariffs. Transitioning children.
Many of these problems were caused by or worsened by Democrats. Because Trump is tackling them and thus attacking the left's agenda, he is hated by the left. But some day the world, if not American liberals, may look back on Trump's second term as a major turning point to better times.
When Kamala Harris was vice president, she was made border czar but wanted nothing to do with it. So she was reassigned to work on "the root causes" of illegal immigration from Central and South America. She did nothing there either.
Trump not only stopped illegal border crossings cold within months, but by removing Venezuelan dictator Nicholas Maduro, he is helping that country tackle its own root problems and giving its people a new lease on life.
If Harris was president today, the headlines would not be that Maduro was captured or that Iran's Ayatollah Khamenei and much of his evil regime were eliminated after decades of terror, also giving that country a new chance and making the Middle East and the whole world safer.
Instead, Harris would be issuing new DEI strictures on the American people. Trump put a stop to those excesses too, and to other leftist mistakes such as biological males in female sports, which is wildly unfair and is opposed by 80% of the public.
Trump also wants voter ID. So does a large majority of the American people. On this and many issues, Trump and his supporters are on the right side of history, and the left is on the wrong side.
The left can't figure out why people agree with Trump so much. They claim he's destroying democracy. He's not. He's destroying the old liberal order, which needed it. Liberals, in their cocksure arrogance of their own righteousness, never realize how destructive, outdated or just plain ineffective many of their policies are.
The left spent decades taking a jackhammer to the old conservative order, which also needed it. Trump takes a jackhammer to everything, including the East Wing of the White House. What goes around comes around.
If Trump gives the new East Wing ballroom too much gilding to suit a democracy, that can be painted over. But someday the country will give the West Wing a similarly needed expansion. Trump was right about that, too.
