HARTFORD - A city man has been charged with firearm and drug offenses after investigators found a ghost gun and large amounts of narcotics at his Broad Street apartment, police said.
Andy Gonzalez, 28, of Hartford, was arrested Monday when narcotics officers executed a search and seizure warrant at the residence, according to the Hartford Police Department.
In a Facebook post, police said the warrant was granted as part of an investigation into the distribution of narcotics from the first-floor apartment unit.
Police said officers found four firearms, including a Troy .223 caliber rifle, a DP-12TM 12-gauge shotgun, a Taurus 9mm handgun containing six live rounds that was stolen out of Pennsylvania and a 9mm "ghost gun" loaded with an extended magazine.
Officers also seized 240 grams of unpackaged fentanyl, 22 grams of heroin, 30 grams of black tar heroin, 29 grams of crack cocaine, $820 in cash, drug packaging materials and items consistent with narcotics distribution operations, police said.
Police said Gonzalez was charged with possession of a ghost gun, possession of a large capacity magazine, possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and operating a drug factory.
