BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — A former NYPD officer is facing charges for allegedly raping a woman after a party in Brooklyn in September, Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez announced on Tuesday.
Daheem Morris, 27, was charged with third-degree rape and sexual abuse, forcible touching, and sexual misconduct, according to the indictment.
Morris and the victim had known each other for around two years and had mutual friends, according to the DA.
The two attended a party on Sept. 28, 2025. After the party, the defendant allegedly raped the victim in a vehicle, according to prosecutors. The victim repeatedly told the defendant to stop.
District Attorney Gonzalez said, “This defendant is accused of raping a woman who repeatedly told him to stop, and we will seek to hold him fully accountable. No one is above the law, especially those who are sworn to uphold it. I am grateful to the victim for her cooperation and to the NYPD for their thorough investigation.”
Morris was released without bail and ordered to return to court on May 8.
