Authorities say they are searching for victims of a Corpus Christi business owner who is accused of several federal crimes.
Daniel "Danny" Almaguer, the owner of Danny's Tires in Corpus Christi, was arrested by federal agents after being accused of wire fraud, aggravated identity theft and kidnapping. He remains in federal custody.
Authorities say that Almaguer and co-defendants Robert Luis Saldana and another accomplice orchestrated a kidnapping in March 2025, according to KRIS-TV in Corpus Christi.
The defendants used a fake Facebook Marketplace listing to lure a victim to Danny's Tire Service on Baldwin Boulevard, authorities said.

The victim was locked in an office, beaten and threatened. The victim was then forced to withdraw thousands of dollars in cash from two banks, and visit the Corpus Christi Trade Center, where they were made to make a $10,000 jewelry purchase using his money, the TV station reported.
The FBI says there could be other victims in Corpus Christi, Houston, San Antonio and the Rio Grande Valley. The department is asking people to come forward with any information.
Potential victims can call 832-426-0778 or fill out an online form on the FBI's website. The FBI can take reports in both English and Spanish.
