The PGA Tour is currently running two events this week ahead of the PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club next week.
Golfers are making their final preparations for the year’s second major as they play either the Truist Championship, a signature event, or the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic, an alternate event.
Ahead of the Myrtle Beach Classic, two golfers, Marco Penge and William Mouw withdrew from the tournament, opening the door for fan favorite Harry Higgs and Taylor Montgomery to sneak in. After the first round started, Noah Goodwin received the same honor, sneaking into the tournament during first round play after Adrien Saddier withdrew before his afternoon tee time.

“Adrien Saddier WD from the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic before his opening round. Noah Goodwin is now IN and will tee off at 12:52 p.m. ET,” the PGA Tour’s communications department announced.
It’s been a difficult season for Saddier, who has missed the cut in five of his nine tournaments while finishing outside the top 50 in all but one event – a t-39 at the Texas Children’s Houston Open in late March.
Goodwin, meanwhile, is playing in just his third PGA Tour event this season. He failed to make the cut at the Puerto Rico Open and the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, where he and teammate Frankie Capan III finished dead last.
