A 36-year mystery ends with an arrest. Suspect was already in prison
In 1986, Claire Gravel, a 20-year-old college student, was found murdered near her home. For more than three decades, the case remained unsolved. In 2022, new DNA analysis led investigators to a suspect who was already serving time for another violent crime. A grand jury later returned an indictment. The case has now returned to the courts after 36 years.
